Horde Cooking Guide
Firstly this isn’t a 1-80
levelling guide, it is however a cooking guide which will help you to quickly improve your cooking skills to an advanced
level. if you need a leveling guide, the best ones are: Dugi's 1-80 Horde leveling Guide. It is much easier and less expensive if you level both your cooking and
fishing together. Click Here for my Fishing Guide.
I have chosen the most economical, easiest and fastest recipes
to create and I have tried to stick to trainer recipes only. Once you've
completed the training as an apprentice you will have three recipes to begin with as well as the fire making
skill.

Guide
The apprentice recipes are:
1) Herb Baked Egg
2) Roasted Boar Meat
3) Charred Wolf Meat
From these you will only want to use both the Roasted Boar Meat/Charred Wolf Meat
recipes – simply because they wont need other ingredients to cook them.
Lets Begin with the Horde Cooking Guide already!
Horde Cooking Guide Level 1-300
Horde Level 1 to 40
You need to kill any of the following creatures:
Mottled Boars found around Orgrimmar for Chunky Boar Meat.
Stalkers Wolves at Mulgore for Stringy Wolf Meat.

You have to get either 55 Boar Meat 45 Wolf Meat.
Start cooking the Chunks of Boar Meat and Stringy Wolf Meat until 40. Train on Spiced
Wolf Meat at level 10 (you can use this to get skill up faster) Keep in mind though that you must buy spices which
are mild.
It is at this point that you need start fishing, it will make it easy to fill the
gaps. This is even more of importance as you are Horde. However this is only a cooking guide, for the fishing guide

Horde Level 40 to 90
When you reach level 50 you must then train as a Journeyman Cook.
Head over to the Sepulcher at Silverpine Forest & visit Andrew Hilbert, You need
to purchase the Smoked Bear Meat recipe from him.
Now go kill some Grizzled Bears at Silverpine Forest for some Bear Meat. You will
need about 60 Meat.
Horde Level 90 to 125
Head over to the Barrens and look for Grub. You should find him in the tower near
Groshgek Farm north from the road which sits between Ratchet & Crossroads. Pick up the Dig Rat Stew quest. You
now need over 30 Dig Rats so go kill some. Finsh off the quest and cook some Rat Stew until you reach level
125..
Horde Level 125 to 175
You can now train as an Expert cook – head to Shadowprey Village and purchase a
Expert Cooking Book from Wulan. Then go and see Zargh at the crossroads and buy both the Lion Hot Chops recipe and
60 Hot Spice.
Head up to Hillsbrad Foothills for Mountain Lion Meat. You need to get around
50-60.
Horde Level 175 to 200
Make your way to to Grom'gol, there you can purchase the Roast Raptor recipe from
Nerrist – also get some Hot Spice (about 30)
Go and kill about 30 Raptors around the Grom'gol area to get Raptor
Flesh.
Horde Level 200 to 225
Go to your trainer & train for Spider Sausage.
Go and get yourself some Darkfangs at Dustwallow Marsh, you will get White Spider
Meat from the Darkfangs. You will need at least 30 White Spider Meat.
Horde Level 225
Next head to Gadgetzan and talk to Dirge Quickcleave – here you will get the
Artisan Cooking Quest ( Clamlette Surprize ) – In the tavern. You will also need to get Tender Wolf Steak recipe
while you are there.
Some other stuff you will need from Gadgetzan:
- 10 Zesty Clam Meat
- 20 Alterac Swiss
- 12 Giant Eggs
You will find that the easiest item to get is the Alterac Swiss, simply enter the
Inn at Thunderbluff and purchase them from the keeper. You will find the eggs in the Hinterlands from the Owl
beasts. You should kill enough Owl beasts to get about 80 Gaint Eggs. Finally for the Clam’s head over to Steam
Wheedie Port at Tanris and slaughter yourself some turtles. After killing them they will drop Big Mouth Clams,
which is the Clam Meat you are after.
You should find Wolves in this area too, so make sure you kill them for some
Tender Wolf Meat. Head over to Falwood and goto the Blood venom post and purchase the Monster Omelet recipe from
Bale. You will also need about 150 sooth spices – however these are costly and this is where fishing comes in handy.
Horde Level 225 to 285
Hang out in Felwood and cook the eggs you got before to make the Monster Omelets.
Also make sure you cook up all the Tender Wolf Meat you have. At this stage if you don’t have enough to get to
level 285 then go and take out some more Wolves in the Felwood area. This way you can get more Wolf Meat and
cook up some Wolf Steaks, increasing your cooking level.
Horde Level 285 to 300
Finally take yourself over to Silithus and visit the Cenarion Hold. You need to
talk with Calandrath in order to get the Desert Recipe quests. After you obtain the third quest you'll be rewarded
with the Smoked Desert Dumplings recipe.
Go murder some Strikers & some Dredge Crushers for Sand Worm Meat. Now you
will only require about 15 more than the actual quest requires, and the soothing spices – roughly about 15-25.
Start cooking until you reach level 300. You are now a Master Cook – Well done!
